How long can you hold your breath?

30 seconds, 1 minute at a push?

World champion free diver William Trubridge can hold his breath for 7 minutes 29 seconds (stationary breath hold).

He turned that one breath into a world record for freediving in the category of Constant Weight without fins, his record is 102m and he set this on 20 July 2016 in a time of 4 minutes and 12 seconds.

His story is one of endurance, mind control and science. A spiritual journey even. How does he do it?

It’s a once in a life time opportunity to hear first-hand on Tuesday 2 April 5.30-7.30PM ASB Theatre, Blenheim. Tickets are $30 for adult and $10 for school children and available from ticketdirect.com.

Come and have your breath taken away. All proceeds go to The Inspire Foundation Marlborough.
